Hannah and Jason got in contact with me way back in 2019 with plans to have me photograph their wedding which was booked for August 2021. Unfortunately, along with a lot other couples, they had to cancel due to COVID.
Luckily, they managed to secure a date with their venue almost exactly a year after the original date.
On the week of the wedding, the weather was bright sunshine with high temperatures and it sure did hold out for the big day! The venue was the stunning Shilstone House; a beautiful Georgian estate nestled in the peaceful countryside of Ivybridge, Devon. It was the first time I'd had the pleasure of photographing a wedding there and it did not disappoint. With its grand rooms, long arched corridors, beautiful gardens caped in colourful flowers and a backdrop of sweeping hills and valleys, it made my job very easy.
On arrival, I made my way straight to the converted barn in which Hannah and her bridal party were getting ready for the day ahead. I was welcomed by all the lovely friends and family who were all in such high spirits and excited for what was to come. Hannah was very calm and relaxed which is always nice to see. Her bridal party were doing a brilliant job making sure everything was going smoothly and to plan.
As the day went on, it was clear to see that Hannah and Jason had their dream wedding; filled with smiles, happy tears and big laughs. A day full of love and happiness, with all their friends and family to experience it with them.
